The Changing Face of Housing
An international group of urbanists are taking to Twitter every month to discuss one big trend out of the multitude of issues facing modern cities. Hosted by This Big City and Future Cape Town, #CityTalk’s second installment explores the changing face of housing.
While urbanization, sustainability, and affordability are undoubtedly global issues, the changing face of housing is a topic that resonates pretty deeply in Vancouver. The city was recently named the second most expensive housing market in the world (after Hong Kong), and is facing significant challenges regarding availability and affordability all across the housing continuum—from shelter spaces and subsidized housing to rental suites and ownership options.
The tweetchat takes place today, Monday, February 13 at 2 p.m. EST. To join the discussion, just login to Twitter and follow the #CityTalk hashtag.
