Imaginary Structures

Filip Dujardin’s architectural “fictions,” as he calls them, are a typology unto themselves. Stitched together from photographs of conventional buildings, his digital collages depict imaginary structures free from physical limitations. The results are strangely compelling. Straddling the margin between the real and the surreal, they conjure up a fantasy world of play and possibility.

If you’re in San Francisco, check out Dujardin’s solo exhibition at the Highlight Gallery, which runs from February 7 to March 29. Visit the gallery’s site to see more of Dujardin’s work.
