Drug Policy in Canada
What Does the Insite Decision Mean?
When the Supreme Court handed down a unanimous ruling that Insite, Vancouver’s safe injection site, could stay open, it changed the face of drug policy in Canada by paving the way for similar clinics to open across the country. Lawyer Monique Pongracic-Speier, who represented PHS Community Services (the operator of Insite) throughout the proceedings, will speak to last fall’s landmark decision and its implications at What Does the Insite Decision Mean? The discussion takes place on Wednesday, March 14 at 7 p.m. at the Djavad Mowafaghian Cinema at SFU Woodward’s. The event is free, visit SFU Woodward’s to reserve a spot.
