Sound Poet Nobuo Kubota to Perform at LIVE 2011

Canadian sound poet Nobuo Kubota is performing his new improvisational sound piece, Sonorous Resonance, as part of LIVE 2011Performance Art Biennale. The performance—an exploration of mouth sounds with fragments of phonemes, utterances, and songs—will be held at Centre A (2 West Hastings Street) on Thursday, September 22 at 8 p.m.

Nobuo Kubota is a multimedia artist whose work is informed by his years of architectural experience. His vocal work is grounded in sound poetry, free jazz improvisation, and Buddhist chanting.
