TELUS Garden Milestones Celebrated

Our million-square-foot TELUS Garden project currently under construction in downtown Vancouver has reached two important milestones: the 22-storey TELUS Garden Office tower was recently “Topped Off”, meaning the top concrete structural slab of the project (typically the roof) has been poured, and the TELUS Garden Residential building has reached ground level, on its way to an impressive 47 storeys. Stakeholders and tradespeople involved in the project gathered to celebrate this achievement with a well deserved, on-site barbeque.

The $750 million, mixed-use TELUS Garden project will bring Vancouver its first LEED Platinum office tower and is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by over 1,000,000 kgs annually, (compared with existing offices), which is equivalent to planting 400,000 trees each year. In addition to the much needed, and highly sustainable new office space, the development will also add 424 new residential units, and convert an aging block of prime downtown real estate into one of the most technologically and environmentally-advanced sites of commerce, employment, and living in the world.
