Yolanda is interested in sustainable architecture and the exploration of architectural language. Her work considers materiality, structure, construction, and site conditions as integral drivers of design, approaching constraints as opportunities rather than limitations. She is drawn to architecture that is closely integrated with its natural surroundings and seeks a thoughtful balance between built form and landscape. With a background in painting, which she has studied since childhood, Yolanda brings a strong sensitivity to observation, composition, and visual order to her architectural practice.

Born and raised in China, she has gained professional experience in China, the United States, and Canada, informing a cross-cultural perspective on design. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the China Academy of Art and a Master of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design.
