The Henriquez studio is a diverse team of 50+ individuals from over 20 countries.

grow With Us

Our talented team brings depth to our studio’s design culture. We are proud of the collective diversity that spans 50+ individuals from over 20 countries in our studio. Resolved to remain mid-sized, we are blessed with the ability to selectively choose projects that align with our values and areas of focus, and have a solid pipeline of work into the future. As a living lab we are focused on continuous innovation: deploying emerging technologies in the areas of simulation, BIM, parametric modelling, 3D fabrication, virtual reality and visualization.

We have a responsibility to develop and nourish our people. We invest time and resources toward professional development, weekly lunch and learns, our Apprentice Program, leadership coaching and career pathing. We financially support our interns and provide mentorship to meet internship requirements. We are values-driven with a supportive, dynamic studio culture, which has garnered us recognition as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and one of Canada’s Best Employers for Recent Graduates for the last 4 consecutive years. We have also been recognized as a “Design Firm to Watch” on Architizer’s A+ list for the last 3 years. Investing in our talent is mutually beneficial.

Engage With Us

We believe that supporting our team with education and engagement opportunities are key in ensuring a new generation of thought leaders who participate in greater civic engagement. Our contributions to architectural education include: lectures, and sharing our ideas in interviews, publications, books and exhibitions. We participate in various professional, cultural and social platforms that encourage intercultural vibrancy, inclusivity and awareness of issues affecting our cities.

We are humbled to be recognized for our contributions by those who share in our desire to better the communities we live in. We actively seek out artistic experiences that translate meaning, transcribe our society’s collective memory and act as vehicles for social change. Our goal is to aid in the creation of a more inclusive city.

Our social sustainability roots date back 40 years. As activist Architects, the ambition of our work is to create culturally rich and inclusive communities. We participate in cross-sector partnerships that enable social and affordable housing, space for artists, and innovative centres for the most vulnerable members of our society.

Beyond the built form, we aspire to be catalysts for social change through active participation in causes that align with our values in the communities we serve. We contribute to organizations that champion the arts, health, human rights, education, youth, the environment, and we have a longstanding commitment to Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (one of Canada’s “poorest” postal codes). Through our HPA Impact Committee we individually and collectively focus on areas that we are most passionate about; we even have a budget to support personal causes over and above our studio’s planned philanthropic activity.
