2030 Barclay has been highlighted in a recent Business in Vancouver article following a public hearing on the proposal.

On March 12, Vancouver City Council directed further exploration of options for the site, including retaining existing hotel rooms while integrating market and below-market rental housing. The decision reflects significant community input and a focus on a balanced mix of uses for the West End site.

Nic Paolella, Executive Vice President of Marcon, states:

“First, I want to thank everyone who participated. We appreciate the passion the community has shown engaging in the process. We respect council’s decision to have our team refine the project further with city staff. Our goal remains the same — to renew this site in a way that contributes positively to the neighbourhood and West End. We will continue working with city staff to achieve that.”
