Georgia + Abbott has been approved by Vancouver City Council, marking a key milestone for this landmark project. The project combines a significant package of public benefits with a mixed-use proposal anchored by Western Canada’s tallest tower:
- A City-owned 25-storey social housing tower at 388 Abbott Street, providing 237 homes, a 37-space childcare facility, and 5,000 sq. ft. of commercial/cultural space
- A large public plaza designed for community gatherings and events
- New and improved connections to Granville Station
- A publicly accessible observation deck – free for Vancouver residents – offering panoramic views from over 1,000 ft above the city
- A 920-room hotel tower with a 70,000 sq. ft. conference centre
- Two residential towers delivering 1,546 homes, including secured rental housing
- More than 40,000 sq. ft. of retail and restaurant space
Together, the three towers form a new addition to Vancouver’s skyline, inspired by the structure of BC’s glass sponge reefs and the region’s coastal environment.
