Jennifer joins Henriquez Partners as a Principal as they open their Toronto studio in Mirvish Village. Jennifer brings over 30 years of experience in the design and delivery of civic, residential, educational and institutional projects. She is a collaborative team leader, skillfully managing complex projects with a steady hand. She knows that a project’s success requires leadership that focusses on fundamental goals, and enables all participants to contribute meaningfully. She understands the importance of strategic decision-making, balancing schedule and budget review with project aspirations.
She supports emerging architects through professional mentoring and as a frequent contributor to college and university design programs. As Project Architect at Diamond Schmitt, Jennifer led the National Arts Centre rejuvenation in Ottawa, transforming the 1960s Brutalist building into a warm and welcoming ‘living room’ of the city; the Daniels Spectrum and Paintbox condominium project in Toronto’s Regent Park; and, the Allard Hall Faculty of Law project at the University of British Columbia.
Through her work, she contributes to industry conferences, educational institutions and community organizations. Her work experiences have nurtured meaningful relationships with community and non -profit organizations. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carleton University in Ottawa. She is a member of the City of Hamilton’s Design Review Panel. Jennifer is a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and a registered Architect with the Ontario Association of Architects.
