Portrait of Henriquez team member, Lloyd Rubidge, Director of Architecture

Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Lloyd joined Henriquez in 2021, bringing extensive experience in designing and managing projects of all scales, from high-end residences to large urban precincts. Lloyd’s portfolio at Henriquez includes two downtown Vancouver hotels, and the Tall Wood Net Zero Carbon Prototype (M5). He is steadfast in our need to manage embodied carbon and chairs our Sustainability Committee, which elevates awareness and technical expertise to bring our projects to the forefront of sustainable design.

Previously, as Director at Van der Merwe Miszewski Architects, he served as executive architect for Zeitz MOCAA, Cape Town’s iconic art museum, and led sustainability-focused projects in the V&A Waterfront’s Silo District. Lloyd holds Bachelor degrees in Architectural Studies and Architecture from the University of Cape Town.
