“Colourful Tower Celebrates Diverse Community”

Joyce has won a Bronze award for “Colour in Architecture” in the 2023 WAN Awards. The building design celebrates the diversity of its multicultural neighbourhood through a symbolic patterned quilt of overlapping coloured glass, which pays homage to Still Creek and the salmon that have returned to spawn here.

Reflecting on Joyce, the judging team remarked: “creative use of coloured balustrading and cutaways to bring interest to a large, efficient housing block.”
